Loverboy's "Turn Me Loose" with Chromatic Intro

"Turn Me Loose" by Loverboy came on the radio the other day and it dawned on me how to cover the stepped chromatic intro with the synth section of the Stage 3. Using only OSC2 with a sawtooth waveform, I set it at 24 semitones initially so that a complete turn during performance would take it to 48 semitones (and no further) for the rest of the song. The effect is similar to the SC Prophet 5 where the OSC Frequency also moved in steps when the knob was turned. The main synth is played with the left hand, a CP80 with Chorus is set up for the right hand, and a synth with Legato is set up for the break in the middle at the top split. Wishing all of you a Happy New Year, take care.

Version 2 added December 31, 2020 with an updated Legato synth and other minor tweaks including a little less brightness in the intro synth (easy to add a little back in with FREQ and/or EQ). Take care.

Nice Job WannitBBad! How about just a few days ago I finally sampled the Turn me loose step glide from the original song! Lol. Then I just notice now you dug deeper into getting the step glide raw outta the NS3! Much praise your way brother!
You gotta good ear, and know your machine well! HAPPY NEW YEAR!
After 2020, and the decline in gigs for us musicians...We need a New one!

Nice job, much lighter than the CS80/CP70 combo! These days (when) Doug plays it's the NI CS80 me thinks along with a few small controllers.10 minutes and he's outa there!
Loverboy is Doug's third band.We played together briefly in his second band,Fosterchild. Will run this by him for sure!
Great player, great person. In the Canadian 'hall' for good reason.
No,he never grabbed the Roll Or Kari's on the B last time in/out at Blue Frog.Jim Foster did!
Geezerpalooza and still in shape!

Thanks again!
