I have not found this in the manual.
Can NW2 send out midi notes which are triggered by Arpeggiator e.g. in Pattern mode to external synth?
It would be very useful to use NW2 also as midi controller at the same time.
Also I was not sure whether Master Clock was sent out from NW2 to to external gear (e.g. my Moog Subsequent 37) via midi out.
I do not see such options in NW2 system preferences.
Anyone can help? Thanks.

Hi-

When the Global Midi channel is disabled, the individual layers can each be assigned to their own midi channel (this is saved per program), which should send note data, as well as other CC messages. I haven't tested whether this works with the Arp, but it seems like it should-

OK thanks, so midi is only sent when the layer is controlled from the keyboard, mod wheel, etc. I guess-

Does the NW2 actually send MIDI CC data in Panel (layer) mode -- apart from the arpeggiator? And I don't mind "per manual" but for real. The Stage 3 is pretty buggy in this respect. Per manual, it shouldn't send nor receive CCs in Panel mode. In practice, it does receive (thankfully so!) but doesn't send. Since I have seen in the last updates for the W2 some changes with respect to MIDI, there is a chance the same changes will be ported back to the S3.

It is "funny" that NW2 has (with recent OS) such limited midi capabilities.
My small and cheap Arturia Microfreak can perfectly work as midi controller as well, sending out to external gear arpeggiator/sequencer midi notes, morphs, etc., so I can use it for layering with other external synths (Sub37, Prologue, Boog...). I wanted to do the same with my new NW2. It is great, inspiriting and good sounding piece of gear, so I wanted to use it as main keyboard sending out master clock, and preferably sending out midi notes of Arpeggiator in Pattern mode, which I like a lot..., but it seems that for now I should do it vice versa, probably using Digitakt or Digitone as a central piece...

I'd really like to be able to send the Arp out to external synths via MIDI. Is there an official place to submit feature requests to Nord? Has anyone had luck with submitting things like this to their support desk?

The Nord Wave 2 does not send notes triggered by arpeggiator over MIDI, neither global nor per layer.

I have submitted a request via Nord Support page.

Did that yield any results? Still no arp to MIDI out? That would be too bad (still researching before buying)
