Keyboard action interacting with Piano sample
Here in lockdown I am going through my Electro 5 HP and trying various samples. On acoustic pianos and electric pianos there appears to be a noticeable difference to me in the way the keybed reacts to different sample choices. For instance the Nefertiti EP weight is noticeable on my fingers, when I change to the unamped Wurlitzer piano it feels lighter - perhaps the note initiates sooner when the key is depressed? My real Rhodes had a heavier action than my Wurlitzer did so am I re-imagining my past? I find similar variations in the Acoustic pianos, so can any of you guys shed light on this? Thanks in advance, Andy
