Advanced B3 and Leslie settings 70/30.

Hello:

Been tweaking the B3 and Leslie for a while now.

Is anyone setting the Leslie Balance to 70/30?

I'm trying this out for the following reasons... In order to get enough of an aggressive but clean tone, I crank the Mid range EQ up about 3/4ths of the way, and add compression.
This makes any percussion too loud and makes the higher partial drawbars loud as well and also the key click is more pronounced. I'm thinking 70/30 smooths that out a bit, and brings out the lower rotor slowing down from being so buried.

I usually crank the bass eq, and dial in a varied combination of overdrives from the Leslie and the EQ sections. Also I've got the leslie on Close with some key click and on Vintage 1.

Haven't tried 70/30 live, so I'm hoping it doesn't muffle the 1st and 3rd lowest drawbars. I'm already noticing that I have to add touch more of the 2nd lowest drawbar.

Any thoughts?

I set it at rotor 70 : horn 30 for a while, because it lacked the bottom end of the Nord Stage 2 Leslie at the same EQ and distortion settings IMO, but I’ve dialled it back to 60/40 to get back a little more of the treble bite.

60/40 here too. In fact I think I picked that up from analogika.
