I'm new to the NS3 and trying to figure out how to create a sound for the song Human Race by Red Rider.
It seems to have a flute kind of tone, but I cannot find anything close . Also new to the Sample engine, so that's probably my biggest problem.
Can anyone suggest anything? Thanks

Sounds like a square wave pad, somewhat resembling the polymoog vox humana patch.

Yes, it starts with a square wave and later it blends with another soft pad, more lush. You can create it with the synth section, no need of samples. For the first sound use panel A with a square or supersquare wave, close the filter a little bit so that the sound isn't so bright, tweak the amp envelope to find the right attack time and add some reverb. Then set panel B to a supersaw wave, adjust the amp envelope with a longer attack and close the filter to taste and add the same reverb. Morph the amplitude of the second panel with the wheel or the pedal so that you can insert the second sound when needed.
