Key (spring?) Noise

Not sure if anyone's keys sound like mine (Nord Stage 2 & Electro 2 -- semi-weighted waterfall action). It's noticeable when I play on low volume, the keys are super noisy. Sounds like creaky springs/cheap plastic. Would expect more from high end equipment.

Not a huge deal and I'm usually just like ehhh whatever board sounds great otherwise.. but is there any way to fix this? Cleaning spray or anything assuming it's the springs making the noise? It definitely is annoying when playing on low volume by myself.

Hi kevvy_k,

in my opinion it would help to get an answer if you could attach a short sound snap of your "noise" so that people can say: "That's the same way my keys are clicking" or "What the hell is this noise!" For the moment: No idea if my keys sound like yours.

Yep, my Electro 5D totally has this. I just assumed it was....normal. Never noticed at gigs, but yeah, playing at home at low volumes it is kinda annoying. My black keys are noisier, for some reason.

My E4 makes the same noise. I don't bother as I play either with headphones (at home) or with loud speakers (when rehearsing with the band). I agree with the OP that a board of this quality and price shouldn't do that, but that's no reason to regret for my purchase though.
