Bought this used and it looks like someone has transposed half step down. Tried everything in the manual online and still cant figure out how to get the "C" to actually be a "C"!

Factory reset to the rescue?

Would a factory reset do the trick? I don't know. Maybe you already tried it.

press shift and program1 button to enter system menu, scroll with the up-down button to the third parameter witch is transpose and holding shift again adjust the value to 0 semitones.

Gonna give these another shot. Tried it all, but these directions are clearer. Tried to reset but wouldn't let me do the last step.

Sounds like the master tune is off. On the NE6 it is in the system settings, probably same place on the NE4. System, fine tune, needs to be set to 440.0 Hz, 0 cents.

Seems like when I press said buttons it does not lead me to the fine tune prompt.

Can you make a video of what you are doing. Do you mean that if you press shift (keep it pressed) and press the Program 1 you do not get the the System menu?

If it's not the transpose (3rd parameter) of the system menu then it's the fine tune (4th). You do exactly the same, holding down Shift button and pressing program1 you enter the system menu, then release shift, scroll with up-down button to the parameter 4 and adjust fine tune to 0. The adjustment is done with the shift pressed down, otherwise you will scroll between parameters.

Ok, you're all awesome. Problem fixed. I wasn't holding down shift after I was in the system. Thank you very much. While I'm here, the buttons directly under "piano" dont respond. Any thoughts?
