Wave 2 patch memory structure
Another question for early Wave 2 owners, while Nord doesn't have a manual PDF up on its site: does a Wave 2 'Program' load all four slots/layers?
On the A1, there's a distinction between single slot 'Programs', and multi-slot 'Performances', but I notice on the Nord web page comparing A1 and Wave 2 we get the info as per screen grab below. I assume that means the Wave 2 only has multi-slot memories, and no equivalent of an A1 program?
Thanks.

Re: Wave 2 patch memory structure
My guess is this is correct and makes sense. You can still build the programs from any number of "slots/layers" turned on or off, with individual volumes. I see this as a simplification and enhancement of the A1 structure-

Re: Wave 2 patch memory structure
There is no distinction like that on the Wave 2. There are simply "Programs" that load whatever number of layers that were stored to that Program.

Re: Wave 2 patch memory structure
OK cool. Can you also say if layer enabling/disabling is glitch-free too, like on the A1? For example, if a W2 program has only one enabled layer, you can hold a note/chord with it, disable the layer, enable another layer, and the note/chord will have carried on sounding (and will until the keys are released).

Yes, it’s like the A1.artofmoog wrote:OK cool. Can you also say if layer enabling/disabling is glitch-free too, like on the A1? Hi,
If you don't want to calculate the Midi-Program numbers in your mind, you should take a look into the NordMidiMapper-app I wrote:

It is currently only available for Mac OS but I will compile it for windows the next days too.
