Hey,
I’m planning to buy Nord Electro 6HP and I wonder what would be the best option for an amp. Is behringer k450fx any good? Do you know a good amp in similar price range?
Thanks

Your question is very open ended. There are many factors regarding style of music, budget, use, etc.

Start here:

Buried in there is a FAQ with reference links:

It’s better that you start there and then come back with specific questions.

Long story short, most guys here will recommend a pair of powered speakers, specific models according to what your budget is. BTW, welcome Jan
* If you have a very thin budget, like $400 or less each (now with financial crisis if you shop - nearer $300 ea) I'd recommend a pair of Yamaha DBR 10's. Others will have different recommendations, but might be more expensive also. I can buy the DBR 10's at $320 ea currently and $300 even, waiting for inevitable sale. Hard to get something decent cheaper. The Nord will sound best in stereo.

Agreed. For me, the key to effective amplification is to run in stereo and there just aren't a whole lot of options regarding dedicated stereo keyboard amps. However, there are many options of powered speakers. It just comes down to price and size/weight. After trying lots of amps and speakers, I settled on a pair of QSC K10's and so far it's been the best solution for me.

Jan,

For when I perform in wine bars and medium sized pubs I have a pair of Roland 'Cube 30' combo amp's.

Plenty loud enough and small and light!

Ta,

Paul

The answer to the question highly depends on what You're amplifying for.
Home use?
Rehearsal studio? As monitor or for everyone? What kind of band/setting?
Monitor sound on stage?
Live sound in smaller venues? How small?

I use a Roland Cube 30 for my home amp and I really do love the way it sounds. I think the coaxial design is great for keys. I'm sure a pair would work well for certain gigs. Another nice feature of the Cube is that it has multiple stereo inputs and and a stereo link connection.

Hi Brian,

My Cube only has 1 x input. But that's fine by me as I only use it (them) on 1 x keyboard type gigs (like solo or duo bookings). Bags of volume though!

Thanks for clarifying this, I have the Cube CM-30 (cube monitor), it has a small 6" coaxial speaker, 3 stereo inputs, and a stereo link feature. It sounds surprisingly good and gets quite loud with a solid low end. That being said, I'm not sure how well the small speaker would hold up if I really pushed it on a gig.

Not sure if anyone noticed, but the OP has posted exactly once.

I think we've been trolled.
