Nord stage 3 compact version ??

Hello,

My fist brand new Nord stage 3 compact bought in December 2019 and had a lot of issues.
A whole story but in the end they ordered a new one in France (I live in The Netherlands)
Today I was able to pick it up here in Holland and after some tests in the store I returned home.
While playing I wanted to press a button and suddenly I saw that it was gone and saw more extra buttons on the keyboard and a few moved.

In the 2 next pictures you see on the first picture next to the list button from the piano section a extra button called "type".

In the 2nd picture you see there is only one button left : KB hold. The one on the left from the KB hold button the ARP RUN is moved to the left of the Arpeggiator knob and at the synth section there is a extra knob between OCS 1 and OSC 2 called OSC Config.
And below OSC CONFIG is now the fast ATK button.

I tried to find some pictues from this keyboard on the internet but can not find any. Is this a version specially for country XXX or is this a old/new version of the Nord ? I cannot find any info on this lay out. Is there somebody who knows what this exactly is ?

Hi Rene67,

now, you've got a Stage 3 Compact Revision B. All Stage 3 are now that way. That revision came out around March 2019. So the other one must have been an older one.

The photos on the Nord web site are all Rev.B! I've put them together into one image to get familiar with the layout. Hope I'm allowed to share it.

You're a lucky one, as the type button can be quite useful if you want to look for a sound on the fly!

Edit: It's mentioned in this thread: nord-stage-forum-f3/differenet-hardware ... 16574.html

I knew about the new revision in advance - but my dealer even didn't. It seems as if Nord wasn't talking much about the changement.

Although this change doesn't seem to be necessarily related with the rev. B. It seems they changed that from black to grey at some point of their production, but before rev B.

If you check online you'll find a lot of pictures (Compact, 76 and 88) with grey buttons but also with the old A panel.

For example: https://m.thomann.de/intl/clavia_nord_s ... 1601872816

In any case, this is nerdiness at best. :D But what's wrong anyway? I have the grey buttons and like them.

The Stage 3 was announced in April of 2017. I bought mine in September 2017. It has grey octave shift buttons.

So that must have changed pretty early on... Or maybe the black buttons were "preliminary" and never saw the light of day on actual NS3 when it became available.
