Hi, I have Nord Stage 3 and want to buy monitor speakers. I wonder it is not possible to change output volume exactly on speakers (only input level)... Please, is there any possibilty how to change the level of monitor output (e.g. exactly on keyboard) independently on master level?

ok, firstly are you referring to the Nord Piano Monitor Speakers, or any other monitor speakers?

The reason for the above question depends on the monitors you're discussing. The Nord Piano Monitors do not have a primary volume adjustment, they rely on the master output of the stage 3, etc. Please consider that the stage 3 and other Nord hardware rely on precision DAC's and amplifier components to the master and sub outputs. The Nord Monitors are designed to a maximum volume output due to their speaker size, bass projection to the rear of the speaker cabinets, etc.

If you want monitors that can adjust to volumes independently, may I please recommend the following to you...
1: Adam A3X (smallest monitors)
2: Adam A5X (Mid sized reference monitors)
3: Adam A7X Reference Monitors.

Either of these support front mounted switches and volume controls, also stereolink on tha a3x and A5X series. these also work with the A8x sub woofer unit. they are clean, precision mix monitors for recording.

The Nord Piano monitors are tailored to the nord keyboards (Piano 4, Stage 3 and Grand) have a slight colouration to flatter the sound, they have a particular frequency response which is not suitable for mixing / recording, but are used as intended for monitoring, etc.

Try connecting your Nord Stage3 via
volume pedal Boss FV-500L to Nord piano monitors
like I connected mine in the picture.
To me personally the sound is louder
and cleaner than when NS3 is connected
directly to Nord piano monitors.
Certainly at least 20% stronger ( to me )
The reason why, I have no idea..

With all respect, I cannot see how that can be possible. Volume pedals act as passive attenuators.

Yeah but what if the pedal is upside down?

Volume pedal Boss works only in one direction
from top to bottom
unlike the volume pedal Yamaha FC-7 which works
via morph on NS3. There is a volume adjuster on
the Boss pedal on the left by which you can
adjust the minimum volume.
Boss pedal controls the master volume only,
not each section separately like Yamaha!!!!

Putting a signal through an earthed variable resistor (what a volume pedal is) cannot *amplify* the signal. That would mean that the pedal (which is a passive device) generates a *higher* voltage than the input and makes the sound louder. That obviously would violate Ohm's law (and that does not happen with the carbon resistors used in pots).
Likely possibilities are that you did not compare exactly the same "before" and "after" sounds, e.g. the expression pedal you used before was not morphing the full volume range of the different sections (or that it was morphing some other parameters in addition to the section volumes).
