NS3C Soft Case

Hi,
I'm going to buy a Nord Stage 3 Compact - that point is easy for me. What isn't, is the case.

Nord offers 3 soft cases that (as I think) should fit (NS3C measures 1070x302x104 mm):
a) Nord soft case "Electro/Stage 73" (1130x330x110 mm inside, EAN 834035000854)
with backpack straps and small front pocket (dedicated to NS3C, but I don't a small front pocket)
b) Nord soft case "Stage 76/HP" (1080x360x125 mm inside, EAN 834035001097) sorry: has to be correted (1150x350x150 mm inside, EAN 834035000687)
with wheels and big front pocket (classified for use with NS3C, but I don't want such a heavy bag)
c) Nord soft case "Electro HP" (1080x360x125 mm inside, EAN 834035001097 - new)
with backpack straps and big front pocket (exactly what I want, but not classified for use with NS3C)

The latter fits quite neatly in length - according to ciphers - , but would it be a solution in reality? Has anyone already tested that new soft case with a Nord Stage 3 compact? Or the top idea for s.o. who wants to transport his NS3C by car and on his back?

But I even won't get the basic 2 or 3 pedals into the front pocket, right?

In any case, it's not the answer I hoped for. But that's why I asked: To get so's real opinion.

The other one (c) isn't as good because ... ?

In A) in front little bag I put a control pedal qicklok , the supply power cable and a little 3 ins multiple power socket. Some scores (20 pages) inside.

I can fit two small Yamaha FC5-style pedals, the power cord and a patch cable in the small pocket of the 73-key case. It's not really that useful for much else. I couldn't fit a Moog EP-3 expression pedal or a regular size power strip.

Regarding the difference in the cases, the 73-key case fits the NS3C like a glove. Per dimensions on the Sweetwater website, the Electro HP case with the large pocket costs $100 more and has over 2.5x the internal volume of the 73-key case, so you would need extra padding to keep the NS3C from bouncing around.

Nord Soft Case for 73-key Keyboards - $199
Internal Length: 44.48"
Internal Width: 13"
Internal Height: 4.33"

Nord Soft Case for Nord Electro HP - $299
Internal Length: 45"
Internal Width: 16"
Internal Height: 9"

Hi ajstan,

the one I'm most interested in is in between the two - a new version for Electro HP 76 for about 20 $ above the first one. It's veeery deep relating to the NS3C (more than 2'' space), but height and length should fit more or less. The length could be a bit tight: only 1 cm (less than 1/2 '') space according to nominal size.

Here is what I mean: https://www.nordkeyboards.com/products/ ... ccessories

Nobody tested for use with NS3C? It would have a big front pocket where I'd hope to be able to put a Yamaha FC-3 Sustain, Yamaha FC-7 Swell/Expression and a Boss FS-6 program change pedal.

The soft case is a bit tight for any pedals i just carry 2 xlr cables and a power cord in mine. This was my solution for pedal storage and setup.

Check out Gator Pro-Go Cases ;)
They truly are amazing... :keyboard:
I recently got one alongside my new Novation SL61 MkIII, and it’s perfect.
I’ll receive a second one for my wooden Hammond-inspired TP8o/D3m mashup next week. :angel:
* HUGE front pocket (with compartments and a rain-protection ^^ )
* very high quality white micro fleece interior
* sturdy backpack straps
* thick sidewalls

It’ll have to pass the test of time for sure, but even my Nord Soft Case already needed some re-sewing...
And these Gator Cases are 1/2 the price of the Nord ones...

For Stage 3 Compact, the 76 Slim version will fit best, as their “case finder” also suggest.
It will be slightly longer than the Nord, but you’ll get the extra protection for a lower price.

Hi,

In the end, I tested those two soft cases for my Nord Stage 3 Compact:

* Clavia Nord Soft Case Electro HP (2019 model?)
* Gator G-PG-76 SLIM (Pro-Go Keyboard Series)

They both have backpack straps and a big front pocket - as I wanted. Besides, they are quite different:
- the Gator is taller and somewhat slender, so that there remains some space just in the length
- the Nord fits perfectly in the length and may be a bit wider than necessary (as it is made for the Electro HP)
- the Nord may be a bit more lightweight, and in any case it looks so, but:
- the cushioning of the Gator is way stiffer and thicker than that of the Nord (which has only a stiffer cushioning on top where the keys, knobs and buttons are).

So if I had looked for a case perfectly leightweight or fitting optically and in the size (and more easily into the boot of a car), I might have chosen the Nord - but I'll keep the Gator:
- I've got a halfmoon switch attached to the Stage 3 which I want to be better protected (and am planning to leave it attached to the front edge in most cases);
- I will handcraft a little box for two pedals to fill the length of the case;
but:
- the Nord triple pedal won't fit into the case: neither into the remaining space nor in the front pocket (it would have fitted into the Nord front pocket), at least not with the rubber mat attached; but I will mostly use an ordinary pedal then.

Thanks again to everybody who contributed!
