Any of the NP series (original, NP2, NP3, NP4 and now the Nord Grand) have nice, weighted actions that differ only slightly. The differences between the actions don't matter much to me -- I could play any one of them all night and be happy -- but might matter to others.

Nord Grand has the most accurate action, followed by NP4, then NP3 and so on. You're sort of splitting hairs between the NP4 and NP3 actions.

The sampled sounds themselves are identical for the most part. Sound generation hardware sounds identical to my ears. Piano memory increases significantly and usefully as you go from model to model. That's about it.

Thank you for your very helpful answers. The piano samples are the same but sometimes the response between various nord stage 2, 3 or ex, or classic is different .. I was asking if anyone had found this. I for example on the ns3 88 I notice a small difference of "latency" that on the ns 2 I did not find ... So I was better with the 2 for pianos .... Hello and thanks for your availability.

I have gone from np3 to np4 and now Nord Grand. Hands down I love the action the most on the Grand. To your question though... When it comes to np3 to np4 i still think the action felt better on the np4. Im not sure if much changed on it or if it was in my head and I was making myself think that as it was an upgrade haha.

polyphony of piano engine on np3 is half that of the np4 and grand., filters added to piano section of np4, etc.
