mixer table / mixer stand
Hey. I'm getting a Yamaha MG-06 for a live setup of two boards. Where do I put the mixer so its not in the way or anything?
My future Stage 3 Compact does not have extra room on the panel for a mixer. (neither do other keyboards)
I thought about a music stand with holes in it, so I could run cables through it. Good or bad idea?
Where do you keep your mixers and accessories?

Re: mixer table / mixer stand
How much adjusting do you plan on doing during the gig? Are you using the headphone port or just sending to front-of-house?
I have a Key Largo mixer that I set before the gig and keep it on the floor. My Rolls PM55P headphone mixer can sit on top of my keyboard, be attached with Command Strips under my bottom keyboard or hook to my belt with a clip. I use it to adjust the level of my keyboards from the Key Largo and the monitor feed from the main board for vocals and other instruments.

Re: mixer table / mixer stand
Hi, this is how I do it:
The stand is K&M Omega Red (18810) plus additional holder 18811 for a 2nd keyboard, I placed my Keylargo on the K&M laptop holder 18815 which can be mounted to the Omega Standard you can see at the left side. The Yamaha MG-06 should fit there as well

It’s a little pricey but this bracket would allow the MG-06 to be mounted on a mic stand.

A short, heavy stand would do like a K&M.

Re: mixer table / mixer stand
I would do something like this, but I'm using a Quiklok X-stand (this model but it unlocks with the press of a button, not good). If I had a fitting stand for something like this, it would be the way to go.Schorsch wrote:The stand is K&M Omega Red (18810) plus additional holder 18811 for a 2nd keyboard, I placed my Keylargo on the K&M laptop holder 18815 which can be mounted to the Omega Standard you can see at the left side. I thought about the Yamaha mic stand – mixer -adapter but I don't know if I will upgrade my stand or find some other solution so I don't really want to invest so much on this. Its just a one job -gadget.

Re: mixer table / mixer stand
When I'm playing on a gig, I wont need to adjust anything but when rehearsing, I will need to adjust the mixer and use headphones. I also don't want to keep it on the floor, just so nobody steps on it and it does not suck all the possible dirt into its insides.ajstan wrote:How much adjusting do you plan on doing during the gig?
