Ns3 bug Does not save the edited sound

Post by KIAKKIRI »

Hello everybody, I'm new to the forum !!
I own NS3 .... The problem is in editing a new sound ..... often it is not saved in memory. The shift key doesn't help either. I have to turn it off, turn it back on again.

Note: I have installed the new update 2.22

No knowing exactly what you are doing, it is hard to say. However, one of the "gotchas" to be aware of is to make sure you are not in "Song Mode" when you try to save a program.

I'm not in '' song '' mode .... It happens even if I do non-complex operations. For example, 2 sounds in layer if I act on filters, on cutoff, resonance in the end does not make me save.
Press the '' store '' button and do nothing, it does not ask you for a path where to allocate new sound.

Indeed, seems like a bug. Maybe memory or software related.

Did the failure happened only after updating to 2.22 or even before?
First, make a full backup of your Stage (you can skip this if not needed), because the following instruction will reset the Stage to factory settings:

Beside the option to re-load a new firmware, there is an option in the Sound Manager to completely format the internal memory - that's like a full hard reset.

:!: Then re-load the factory restore file (Nord Stage 3 Factory Restore RevF v2.0X) -> afterwards update to the newest firmware 2.22.
You can download both files here:

Please note this procedure may take some time (can take hours) :!:
But it's worth a try if the system crashed and you couldn't fix it so far. It already helped some users.

Certainly .... And it doesn't always do it but to its liking! When I have to create a sound or simply change it, I have to repeat the operation several times. I have to turn off the keyboard and then turn it back on!

DonCoto, what does the display read when it fails to save? Any change at all when you press the SAVE button?
