Dual KB where Panel B Needs Expression Pedal

I've seen bits and pieces on this, but cannot really put it together. I'm running my NS3C as my top board--organ or pad only. On Panel B in Dual KB mode, I'm playing pianos and pads via an 88-key controller. Morph is not available with the tone wheel on top or an expression pedal plugged into the NS3--as the manual states. I have ready you need to plug the expression pedal into the 88-key and then get the midi message somehow through to the NS3, but this is where I get lost. If anyone could help walk me through this with midi channels etc that would be great. FWIW I'm sending to panel B on Ch 16.
I should mention in the System menu, I can see the expression pedal sending from 0-100%, just can't get it hooked into my filter.

When in DualKB the Panel (or individual section) respond only to MIDI data coming from the external controller (on the Dual Kb assigned MIDI channel), so in your case you need an expression pedal plugged into your 88 keys controller and configured to send a MIDI CC11 (Expression) over CH16 (as the rest of the controller, or at least its keys already do)
If you tell us which 88key controller you use we can also help you in the specific configuration (hoping it supports an expression pedal of course).

I run a MOFX8, that does allow an expression pedal.
I am strongly considering moving back to just using the controller as a MIDI input and running both Panel A and B on the NS3. That way I can use all the controllers for both panels and combine sounds. If I want just organ on the NS3 then I can turn on only the organ on panel B and hit one button to get from my piano/pad on panel A to organ on B.
I like the idea of the Dual KB, but it is really implemented better for the 88-key NS3 and using smaller controller, and not the reverse of using an 88-key controller with an NS3 compact. I know some of you are using it that way, but seems too limiting and complicated for me at this time.

I think it is just the same, I have been using both configurations (having owned both Compact and now HA88 versions of NS2) and actually I also use the "trick" to alternate Panel level control (when I want NS2 controls, pedals and PB/MW to still affect Panel B) and DualKB (when I need the opposite) without any issue; you just need to use two distinct MIDI Channels and of course 2 "setups" of the master keyboard to handle each case (or leave it to the Panel B channel only, which still work also with DualKB on, at least on NS2)

Let me know if I'm wrong on this, but if I run the 88-key through a separate midi channel, I still lose the NS3 control wheel--and my MOFX8 control wheel is buried under the NS3. I would rather have full use of the control wheel and expression pedal for morphing.
I will likely try it both ways when I get time and see which is less restrictive.
