Hi all- I’m new here so I hope someone can help me out!
I have a nord 88 Stage revision B. Yes- it’s quite old!
I normally only have need for the piano section- but now I need a string sound for a gig..
After a lot of messing around in the synth section and a lot of googling- I think that there are no string pads on this older model- is that right?
I found a ‘synth strings’ pad,(sound select 14) but I need a real string sound- this is too synthy for my needs.
Gig is tomorrow so I don’t have time to do much- it’s only for one tune.. and I can sit it out.. but I’d get lots of brownie points if I could find a suitable sound.
Any help gratefully appreciated.. I’m so non techy- I’m hoping I’m missing something- or if it’s not possible- I’ll stop wasting my time searching.

You may find suitable sounds in this section or in the other synthesizer sections at the left side of the page

No it doesn't... (see the specs on the Nord website)

The synth on NS Classic/EX is a pure VA, scaled down of the Nord Lead 1/2; if you need "real strings" you need to go for an expander, other keyboard or computer/iPad with virtual instruments.

Or you may try some (synth) strings programs made by NUF users, search for "strings" on this list nord_stage_program_collection.php, maybe some could be good enough for that one song.
