Hi there.
I recently decided to do a complete format of the stage 3 to build a setup I need to use that fits my needs, so I did it. I decided to do a reload of the synth banks, they rely on a few assigned samples. As you probably know, the samples go to specific numbers for each of the synth presets.
is there any way I can re-assign the sample files attached to the presets to the first used numbers rather than random locations? I ask as I will be loading a series of patches and sample files in in a certain sequence and want a clean and logical way for me to find what I want to use. Could this be done?

Samples are associated to Synth programs by their name, not location, so there is no problem to reorder them as you like.

Re: question regarding the synth portion of stage 3
That's a really nice feature of the Stage 3 that I didn't know about a few months ago. As a matter of habit, I still leave the memory locations 0-249 set aside only for Nord samples and put all others above that just to keep track of all "non stock" samples I've added.maxpiano wrote:Samples are associated to Synth programs by their name, not location, so there is no problem to reorder them as you like.
Nord Stage 4 | Nord Stage 3 | SC Prophet T8 | Korg X50... In the past: Nord Stage EX, 2, 2EX | SC Prophet 5, 10 | MiniMoog | Hammond B3 & 122 Leslie | Yamaha DX7IIFD, EX5, CP60 | Hohner D6 | Fender Rhodes | Roland S-50, D-50, XP-50...

I can't thank you enough for this. Bless you. I've now moved the samples attached to the synth partition to the first locations to make what I need accessible easier for me. I can't thank you enough.
This stage 3 is the sexiest keyboard possible. I'm getting more in to working with this than ever. I've taken up program bank A with a series of custom piano patches, etc covering the instruments loaded. After A55 Group B onwards will be dedicated to various synth and other programs I intend to create. I've even produced a few octave pianos I never thought I'd use, let alone like, by god am I blown away. stuff other manufacturers, this is my baby now lol.
