I'm new to the world of Nord and could use assistance. Watching the You Tube tutorials but could use some "tricks" of the trade. I'm currently trying to obtain patches for Chaka Khans "Ain't Nobody" but keep coming up empty handed. Any guidance would be appreciated with this specific patch and where I might find on-line patches for the Stage 3 would be even more appreciated.

Have you looked at this thread for the Nord Stage 2?

There is a listing of the samples and piano files used, which can be loaded on the Stage 3, as well.

If you watch the video here: , you can see where the split points are. I built the first program following that example and tweaking it a bit, and I got by without needing the second program with the marimba.

As I recall (I haven't used it in a long time), one trick is that the sustain pedal only applies to the arpeggiated synth, so you can sustain the intro and interlude arpeggios, but have them only momentarily running as you press down a single key in the verses.

Thank you very much!! You've saved me additional frustration with learning the Nord S3. If I could impose on you once more...apparently you can convert files formatted for Nord S2 to Nord S3. Without me infringing on your time, could you point me in the right directing to convert such files? Apologies for asking.

converting from NS2 to NS3 is only done by setting the two instruments up side by side and dialing in parameters one at a time manually

it is not possible to simply reformat data from one to the other

Hello, the patch here is for the original Chaka Kan version, not for that cover (I don't think anyone created one for that)
