Anyone else wish for this?

I've been listening to some really great instrumental piano music lately that has these really close mic'd pianos where you can hear the hammers and mechanical noises, and I really love it. Ólafur Arnalds and Tristan Eckerson have great examples:

I LOVE the mechanical noises that play a part of these piano sounds and add to the rhythm. This feels like a sound Nord would make, and I know from the Harpsichord patches that release samples are already in the framework, so it seems like they might just need a nudge from the users. Would anyone else want this? Let's make some noise!

The Nord pianos already have release samples, and some of them have - in my view - a quite clear hammer/wood sound on the attack.

So I guess it is mainly a matter of you asking for more of this?

BTW: make sure you don't have long release enabled since it seems to remove some of the release sample sound.

Yes!
I’m with you.
Like a “soft pedal”,”practice pedal” vibe with very hot mics, grabbing all the dampers and creaks in the body of the piano.

I think Imperfect Samples does this well. Would be nice to hear at least one Nord piano like that in the library.

Would in theory be possible to have a sample of only mechanical noises (perhaps with some variation from key to key) and layer that with any piano sound...? Could something like that exist already? Hard to make on your own I guess...
