Help

Can anyone give me some advice for creating a patch suitable for the intro for Dakota.

I made something like this on my stage 2 ... it had two saw synths layered an octave apart, and the arpeggiator set to the right speed, plus a bit of glide (monophonic). Then just play the notes, let the arp do its thing, and away you go. Hope that helps.

Hmm. I just took a listen to Stereophonic's Dakota.
Spraders is on the right track with two synth tones an octave apart and a little glide.
There is some obvious Flanger effect that needs to be added.
Also, if the arpeggiator doesn't do the trick, the LFO section is capable of that note on off pulse.
The right amount of decay is also key.
I think this youtube tutorial is the one that will walk you through programming the LFO...

Load the song into a program like Logic or audacity (free download). Zoom in, cut out the intro and save it as a wav file. Load it into the Nord Sample Editor and assign it to a key.

I did this on my Roland, didn’t take too long and works a treat.

I did make a basic sample patch for my Electro, might be of some use.
