Hey all,

Thanks to all those who have contributed to this forum.

Looking for the synth sound for Shut Up and Dance by Walk the Moon on the solo.
Trying to create myself now but not sure if anyone has it that would be willing to share.
If I finish mine, I'll upload it here.

I would not know how to do this on a Nord. In case it helps anyone figure out how to do this on a Stage, I will describe the sound I use on my Roland FA-07: I use a combination of two Saw sounds, both of them from the EXP-02 collection. The patch is called "PromarsLd", built mainly from two waveforms. The most important is EXP-02 waveform "P5 Saw 1A". A second waveform is EXP-02 waveform 401 "KG 700 Saw", which adds a bit of sweetness or fullness to the sound.

The result does not exactly duplicate the lead sound of the synth solo, but I think it projects a little bit better in a live gigging environment, so I am happy with it.

Thanks harmonizer for the tips on the sounds you use. I am converting from a Yamaha mx61 to the Nord Stage 3. Have the sound on my Yamaha but trying to duplicate it on the Nord. Getting pretty close on it though messing around with a lead synth and changing up the waveforms. Once I get it near perfection I will upload here for anyone that wants, unless someone posts a better one before I get there

Ivan, that is cool. I would use your sound over mine, if it worked in my E3. I like the pulsing, which is not present in the sound I use on my FA-07.

(I recently sold my Integra 7, it was really nice to have it ,but been limited to only 64 Live Sets is no way i can use it Live Stage etc. Recreating it on Integra 7 would be an interesting thing.

(Roland Clans are less productive sharing and recreating nice modern songs, so i appriciate guys who do something more in this Forum))

The pulsating effect makes VIBE effect enabled. You can regulate the intensity of it to your taste.

I have this sound I made for both NS2 and NS3 - I will upload within the next few days when I have a moment to connect gear and laptop.
