Issues with sustain and Edit indicator

Post by kbrkr »

With the latest OS, I'm starting to see some sporadic and erratic behavior with the sustain pedal function. Sometimes it does not release sustain when I withdraw my foot on the pedal. I've checked this with three different pedals. Also, sometimes the display with randomly start displaying an "E" as if I have edited a program, but all I am doing is playing the program with NO edits.

If anyone else has a this anomaly, please respond here. I will see if I can record a video of it and post it when I get a chance after this weekends gigs.

The "E" is normal if you have set up the sustain pedal so that it also changes rotor speed; this way when you press the sustain pedal, you actually change the program state (and if you save it with the pedal down, it will save with the fast rotor speed, as far as I recall).

I haven't seen the other issue you mention (like sustain "hangs"). Is this with the piano section or the synth section? Is it related to program changes? ... or other interaction with program settings while you play?

If you even switch the layers the e will show up. When you switch back it will go away. Basically if you change pretty much anything it shows up to remind you that you edited the current config and if you return the co fig to equal the saved state it will go away. This is both intuitive and as designed.
