Looking for Drum Kit Sample Pack

I'm scoured the internet to no avail: I cannot find a good drum sample pack for the Nord Stage 3. Plus, considering there is no Stage 3 compatible Sample Editor, does this mean I can't produce a hihat kick snare beat on my nord? c'mooooon seems like a huuuuge oversight. Let me know if you can help in anyway. Thanks!

Hi,
some drum kits can be found in this thread:
nord-user-samples-nsmp-samples-f14/rock ... tml#p51920
They will be converted into the sample format of the stage 3 automatically when loading them into it with Sound Manager. This is also the way if you use the Nord sample editor to create your own samples.

I have also been experimenting with drum samples for some time.
Is there a trick to stop the open hihat when the closed hihat sounds, that would be very important for playing drum sounds live.

Nope, the Nord samples are meant to be waveforms for a VA synth oscillator, not to transform it into a workstation/arranger like ROMpler with drumkits.
Better use something external (hardware, app on a tablet or computer) for that, if your only keyboard is a Nord.

The only thing that comes to mind would require using both synths: one panel to cover the drum sounds that you want to be able to be simultaneously played, the other to cover samples in mono where playing one note (closed hi-hat) would cancel the other (open hi-hat).

For almost 16 years I always had a laptop with me on stage and since the NS 3 I enjoy it very much without it. In the meantime, I have already tried using external tools to create corresponding note offs to the open HH from the note on of the closed HH, but that didn't work because the note on and off come from different sources. Then I thought to put toms and hihats monophonically in the middle split zone and the rest in another. But there is no split zone Hi and Low simultaneously, so everything above or below the Hihats remains monophonic, therefore not playable live. Maybe it is possible to split the drum samples up and split the hihats down to be able to put them monophonic on panel B.

I normal times I play with my Band and don't need no drums coming from my Stage 3.
Due to Covid I have to play on my own and was searching for an auto-accompaniment software with rythm maschine built in. Ok, it's automatic, not what you want perhaps.
To make a long story short I bought a software "One Man Band", which is Mac and Windows compatible and loads Yamaha styles . Drums are played with the internal sound card, but that can be changed to VST sources.
Additionally I bought an 8" mini Windows tablet for that software. That was a recommended by the developper.
Perhaps this is an option for you as well.
