I am using the triple pedal with «my NS3 and I am a little surprised by the « release and catch » (repedalling) behavior.

I am unable to « catch » any sustain during notes decay if the pedal is starting from idle position. The repedalling is functioning only if the pedal remain in the half pedal range.

Of course repedalling using triple pedal il working perfectly with a properly developed piano VST (when you press the sustain just after a released chord, any not yet muted notes are sustained and the resonance is coming back)

I have used the triple pedal with a NS2 and a Nord Piano (I don’t have them anymore) and I think the repedalling was working completely well (but my memory may be faulty !)

Please Triple pedal users, could you confirm how your pedal behave in catching decayed notes ?

Hm... I wonder if the pedal contacts are dirty. There is a post somewhere here where you can see inside the triple pedal (the contacts are like the keybed, silicone bubbles with 2 contacts.

Well, I also tried to clean it
The pedal work perfectly with VST (like pianoteq) and I have checked midi data (witch are correct)

I don’t remember if the behavior was correct with NS2 / Nord piano. But it is clearly not with my NS3...

In that case I do not know sorry.
Did you check if there is a setting for "triple pedal" ? (there is such setting in the NS2).

Yes triple pedal is well detected.

Actually it is working perfectly, except repedalling from idle point
I don’t know if this is the same for everybody (Nord may not have implemented this properly), or if it is a NS3 problem. I don’t remember how my NS2 reacted in this matter.

It is very specific :
Play a chord pedal up, release keys and immediately depress sustain : Notes should be catched during decay. It is not the case on my NS3...

Is there somebody with a triple pedal to test this please ?

Doing this faster enough, do you catch the sustain of not yet faded notes during the decay like in a real piano ?

NE6 and NP4: Catching the release part of a piano (when you have released the keys, like you describe) with a normal sustain pedal works, and so does it with the triple pedal (although it only works as a sustain pedal on the NE6, of course). It works both in normal and soft release mode (where the acoustic piano releases are longer).

NS3: Catching the release part with a normal sustain pedal appears not possible for me. If it doesn't work with a normal sustain pedal, it likely wouldn't work with the triple pedal either, since they are identical on the other devices.

NS3 with triple pedal: no chance to catch the resonance!
I've tried several grands and upright pianos.
No matter if long release is switched on or off it doesn't work. String resonance and pedal noise are both activated. The only thing I am getting is the pedal noise.
Seems like Nord has lost this feature on the Stage3.

I hope they will bring back this feature in a future update, it’s a part of piano realism.
