NS2 EX - Synth voice stealing?

Post by Schorsch »

Hi,

the bass man in my band got sick and will be out of order for a couple of weeks, so I have to play bass on my keyboard as good as possible for the next upcoming gigs. I therefore created a keyboard zone at the low end of my NS2 EX-88 for panel B and loadad a bass sample into panel B. Works fine with piano and organ sounds, but it's causing some sort of voice stealing from another synth sound on panel A. Is this a known behaviour of the NS2 EX (OS version 2.28), or is there a way to avoid this?

Hello,

You need to check how many voices you are using in total... The polyphony is limited.
Are your bass and the other synth mono or stereo?
Do you have long sustain that make the note bleed on the next ones?
Do you play big chords or mono lead solo?

Something to read about polyphony:

I hope this helps
