Flight Of The Bumble Bee on Stage 2

Just learnt to fly, well... to play Flight Of The Bumble Bee on my new Stage 2. Can't go as fast as I should (160BPM) without more training, this teaches you your limits. I don't have a real real piano at hands, so cannot tell if it would be easier on one. I used the Grand Lady D Steinway.

Not bad at all, do you practice with a metronome? And by that I don't just mean getting tempos, but actually playing the whole piece with click...
You could try that as an exercise: record another video with click in the background, even if it's slower (practice will get you there) but at least it will be in time..

Cheers! :D

edit: It's a little harder on a proper grand. You'd need to articulate better since the keys are heavier.

Thanks. I don't use a metronome, and I don't have rhythm. I know, this doesn't make sense... I'm just lazy. Not sure if an heavier keyboard wouldn't be easier. Keys might "bounce back" faster, be a bit less "mushy", even if they are heavier too press? But I have a feeling the Clavia keyboard might be the best compromise for lazy players like me: not too heavy but still fast tight response.

Laziness has nothing to do with it in my opinion. Playing with a metronome just solidifies your time.

So I recommend practicing with a metronome at all times.

Playing on a real grand that has heavier keys is universally agreed harder. You need to properly articulate your fingers and to have way better stamina.

I feel this when I switch from the grand to my NP88 - way easier to play faster, though I lose some dynamics.

Made some progress, but still fighting and not fluid. Tried to add some insect sounding synth, with the rotary speaker set to the max. bzzzzzzz.
