Audio out and usb-over-midi simultaneously?

Hi all

I have a Piano 2 HA88 and I'm wondering if it's possible to send midi via usb and audio out at the same time. If I plug in a usb cable while I'm playing, the sound stops and it becomes a MIDI controller. Just wondering if I can get both out at the same time.

Thanks

Hi and welcome to NUF.

Well, using MIDI over USB has no impact on analog audio output, unless you are sending a MIDI CC 7 = 0 to the NP2 that zeroes its volume. Maybe you should explain more in detail what you do (what PC are you connecting to and with which MIDI software running, ...j

PS: if you instead mean audio over USB, Nord Piano 2 does not support audio over USB at all (actually no Nord keyboards does, so far).

I'm reading this differently: "so send out midi over USB" and next to that "and regular audio out when playing".
If that's the case, yes. So it's very strange when you plug in a USB cable that the audio out (jack connection) is stopping from playing.

Thanks guys, I should have been more clear. Yes, I meant midi over USB and regular TRS out simultaneously. I'm running Logic on mac OS High Sierra.
