Hello everyone,

I just read about thhe Nord Piano which sounds interesting to me as I am mainly a Piano player and looking for an upgrade from my Yamaha P80.
The sounds seem really good but I have a few doubts regarding the Pedal:

1) How does the Una Corda/ Sostenuto work?? Like on the real thing?
2) Is Half pedalling possible with the Sustain?
3) Do you like the pedal noises?
4) Can the pedal used with any other Keyboard, and which (and how many) plugs is it using?

Thanks if someone happy enough to own the thing can clarify this for me!

I just saw this so sorry for the very late response. The Nord Triple Pedal works wonderfully. The una corda works really well, and dampens better than some of the mid-grade grands I play/practice on. I never use the sostenuto pedal, but it works like it should. Finally the sustain works as good as can be. The half pedaling is really good as well. The forgot when I first got my NP88 about the half pedaling, but started using it recently...it works great!

I am a brand new Nord Piano user. I purchased a dealer floor model. For the other newbies out there, when I set my piano up the pedal didn't work properly. The sustain pedal worked exactly the opposite of how it was supposed to. It would sustain while not depressed. I figured something was terribly wrong figuring that the polarity of the pedal somehow got switched. Of course after studying the operatiors manual a bit I discovered that because it was a floor moel, the dealer did not hook up the Nord pedal, but a generic sustain pedal. Through the shift/pedal function I was able to reset the pedal settings. It now works flawlessly. So for those of you having pedal problems, Shift/Pedal and choose "Nord Pedal" should do the trick.
