Hi,
I am looking to buy a Nord for my wife but not too sure which one I should get. Main thing is for it to be portable and suitable for playing at weddings and in Scottish Ceilidh Bands. Can you help me please?
Thanks, Fraser

Which sounds are important? Most Nords are relatively portable.
Nords: NE2, NS2 88, NS3 Compact x 2
Live rig: NS3, Vent, Radial KL-8, Shure PSM-900 IEM Rig, UE18 & UE7 IEMs.
Studio: Hammond A-101 & Leslie 122, Yamaha CP-80, Yamaha S90, NS2, DSI Prophet-6, Vent II, Roland JX-8P.

Nothing major I don't think. As I say, she uses it for weddings and Ceilidh band, also for just playing piano at home. (I don't know if you can tell but I'm not all that musical) Thanks

Re: Which one to bye?
There is quite a lot in the Nord range to choose from.
If she is mainly a pianist, hunting out a used Piano 2HP could be a good option for something very portable if she can live with 73 keys as opposed to a full 88. The Electro 6HP is the closest equivalent 73 Hammer action keyboard on sale new from the Nord machine. Both weigh in at around 11kgs and are very compact and easy to move about.
88 keys and you are looking at the Piano 3/4, but the full hammer action keyboard is a bit heavier at about 18kgs and a little longer so not as portable.
Depends what your idea of portable is i guess. If you can give us more of an idea of her needs we can probably help further
