My Sequential Circuits Prophet 5

I bought my Prophet 5 (#0186) around 1980 from Paul Delph who played the infamous keyboard part on Toni Basil's "Mickey". Paul was brilliant and classically-trained; I replaced him in a local band when he headed to California in the late 70s. More about Paul can be found at
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_Delph Sadly, Paul passed away in 1996. Paul's Prophet 5 was loaded with all kinds of sounds completely new to me - below are a few programs that remind me of that time.
One of the first sounds I remember using on the Prophet 5 was a synth version of the Hohner clavinet. This covers it well but also adds in the dynamics of touch-sensitivity and effects the Prophet 5 didn’t have. The MP3 starts with just the Synth Clavinet, a few notes follow turning the OSC control to change the character of the clavinet sound, then adding synth brass, sampled D5 clavinet, and B3.

The first time I heard this next sound was on an old practice tape I have of Paul playing with John Goodsall and others, not sure if it was the band Zoo Drive practicing.
The Cars made this sound popular with the song “Let’s Go”.
Here's another for the Cars - Just What I Needed. This one uses both synths as each is used in the song and then combined at the end. The LFO settings for each are different for the end of the song (fast on the square wave, slower on the sawtooth):

So, as you don't have your Prohet 5 anymore, how do you building your Sound? You just remember it? Or you have them recorded?
Anyway, thanks a lot for all those programs...

Hi Quai34, the first two are on old recordings but also committed to memory. They're fairly simple but still distinctive. Your question did make me think about the old Prophet 5 programming. With only 40 programs available, the Prophets used to come with sheets of the entire knob layout so folks could write down every knob setting of a good program to go back to. It would be interesting to take a few and see how well they transpose to the Stage 3. I seem to recall the original 40 being provided with the P5 too - I wonder if any are online somewhere.

They're appended to the end of the manual (after section 8-2) in this PDF from Kevin Lightner's (RIP) old Synthfool site.

Hello. I'm trying to play the "just what I needed" program. Is shows a grand IMperial b dorf (not found) and an EP. Where is the synth?

I'm not sure of the problem you are having - can you take a pic of your synth section? The first synth used in the song is set up in panel A right of the split, and the second synth is set up in panel B. Though not used, the Imperial large is loaded in my Stage 3. Thanks

Thanks for the reply. I just looked again. The synth part says "unnamed 3" and the volume is set to zero. I turned the volume up on the synth engine and then could hear the lead synth sound.
