Anyone know any good patches for P.Y.T By Micheal Jackson? I know Matt Cossey has done some patches for this song but they are for the stage 2 which is kind of annoying.

No they are not .... I know that Matt has recreated a number of NS2 programs for the NS3 but am not sure if PYT is amongst them yet, may be worth to ask him via his web page

PYT has many sounds indeed, but they all can be recreated on Nord gear.
Apart from the synth bass, I see Matt needs more than 1 board as seems the split is not enough ! [/bbvideo]

NS2 EX didn't have Smooth transition, so I guess that's why Matt used 2 keyboards (and not MIDIed together) or maybe just because it was an official demo @Namm so better showcase as many Nord keyboards as possible (and not use an external master for example)

I have an NS3 and a NW2 and that program has 7 different sounds. I use 3 on the Stage and 4 on the Wave. You would need multiple programs on the NS3 to accomplish this in my opinion-

Matt’s playing on that is spectacular!
Ive got an upcoming gig where I’ve been asked to play it, but I’m not going to have enough time to learn it AND program all those sounds. I may just end up using mostly a DX7 sound and a synth for the chorus lead riff.
Hopefully I can revisit the sounds after I’ve learned the song.
That’s always a struggle when youre short on time to get the sounds and get the song right. Song always comes first!
