Firstly, hello to all! I'm new here

Secondly, I was visiting my grandmother and found an used Nord Wave for sell nearby. Bought it. Came home and was eager to play it. The thing is... In Brazil different cities have different voltages. Long story short, I've connected my 110 V wave into a 220 V outlet... I was not aware grandmother's city was 220

So basically 6 hours after spending a lot of money in a Wave I overvoltaged it and couldn't even hear a single note of it

Anyway, the only Nord authorized repair shop is in the city of São Paulo, not exactly where I live. And I know that the fuse only protects against overcurrent not overvoltage. So I would like ask you people who have experience with nord's. I would like to go to the repair shop, but first I would like to know what are my chances.

Do Nords have overvoltage protection in their power supply? Have anyone been able to fix a nord after an overvoltage? Is the system designed to contain the damage to the power supply? Or am I (and my new Nord) "fried"?

It did not smell fried stuff, which I found to be strange... (And possible a good signal?)

The high voltage results in high current.
I would check the fuse first, perhaps you had luck.

If nothing smells burnt, chances are the fuse blew and that’s it.

A $1 fix.

So, after reviewing the fuse which after first glance seemed fine, I noticed that perhaps it was open in one the the extremities (not visible through the glass). So I took it to the shop. The Fuse was indeed open and there was no damage to any component either from the synth or the supply. Turns out, as appointed by the technician, that Nord circuits are extremely robust with just very high quality components, which tend to not be damaged in an overvoltage before the fuse. I hope this post will help whoever is on distress to calm down. Nord's are though, apparently.

Great to hear that nothing major happened. Yes, many times fuses "look" fine, but they are not. When in doubt you can test them with a multimeter to make sure.
