Which swell pedal setting is correct for PK27 swell pedal???

Post by nlalaian »

I have the C2D, nord half moon switch and PK27 with included swell pedal.
The options for “Swell Pedal” in the system settings do not include a setting for the “Nord” pedal, only Roland ev5, Roland ev7, Yamaha fc7, korg, and Fatar SL. None of these is working well with my Nord brand pedal - no matter which one I choose, when I keep my foot stationary at a given value anywhere from 25-85%, the organ fluctuates the volume +/- 10% or so, and sometimes randomly drops to zero. (I wish I could demonstrate it. Maybe I’ll post a YouTube video of what happens.) Anyways, I believe I have the latest update for the organ OS, and again, I’m using all Nord brand stuff. Everything else works fine. It’s just when I rest the swell pedal at a given position, no matter what the setting, the volume fluctuates randomly, even with my foot off of the pedal. Has anyone experienced this? If so, what was your solution? (I really don’t want this to be an expensive fix, or something difficult, or involving tracking down some expensive part online...) Any ideas at all?

Thanks in advance.

Click this think to watch a demonstration of what happens. Maybe this has happened to you before. I start out at zero, and raise the swell pedal to about 60% and rest there. Then the malfunctioning occurs. PLEASE HELP!

Seems like a faulty cable or bad potentiometer in the pedal. New unit ? Then I would contact the seller.
Othewise, check the cable and plug.
For the pedal type, I think Fatar would do, but choose the one that are giving you 0-100 % on the screen.
