What is a reasonable price for a used Nord Electro 3 HP?

I am constantly amazed at how Nords hold their value.

There is a guy selling an Electro 3 HP and asking $1000

Is this reasonable?

I know is about half of what a Electro 5 HP costs, the last time I checked.

I wish I could go with the newest one for more sample memory but I can't at the moment.

Check recent sales on Reverb.com as well as eBay. These will give an indication of the going price.

In the US, you will find Electro 2s for $900 and more. The least powerful of these boards is still a treasure, and I think hold a lot of value, especially for those of us who don't have much interest in synthesizers and layering. We just want to play something like a Wurli, something like a Rhodes and something like a B3. Any board in the series can get you there in fine style, and in such a light, portable package.

I sold my Electro 3HP in excellent condition last June for $1200 including the Nord soft case. Based on that, I'd say you're on par.

Great instrument. Even though I own a Stage 2EX now, I miss the Electro from time to time.

Definitely; everyone should own an Electro (old or new) It's a very nice package.

I also own an Electro 4D, but keep thinking about trading up to a 73SW. Not in the budget at the moment.

I used to have an Electro 2 Rack and I sold it in 2009 or something, and regretted it.
I have been wanting another Electro ever since, and this 3HP came up at what seems a reasonable price,
so I think I will get it. I can use one of my synths as an upper manual if I need the synth action keys.
