Hiring Electro 5

Hi,
I'm hiring and Electro 5 73 for SXSW in Austin. Having done some research it seems right for my needs but Id like to have a few things confirmed before hiring.
I want to have a three way split of acoustic piano, electric piano and strings.
I want to have a Vox Continental patch split with a wav file sample that I import. Its a single shot sample like a snare, only needs one key.
Also are there any passable rock/pop brass sections available to import?
Lastly, I see that the Leslie fast/slow switch is an add on, if my unit doesn't have this is there an easy way to switch between fast and slow when playing?
Thanks in advance for any assistance.

You need to hire a Stage model to do what you want mate. Electro 5 doesn't split 3 ways.
Plenty of good brass samples around this forum
All feature a slow/fast Leslie for Hammond.

Also make sure that you prepared the single sample as nsmp and tried it well before you need to perform. It is not just a matter of "loading a wav file" from a usb stick 5 min before playing... specially if you have not used the nord sample editor before.

As mentioned, Electro 5 cannot do 3 way split. It can only split two ways. And the two can't both be piano sounds (so you can do AP and strings or EP and strings, but not AP and EP). Also worth noting, you can only split between a B and C or between an E and F.

Yes, there's a front panel button for rotary speed toggle. You can also plug in a footswitch and toggle speeds with that.

There's a bit of a learning curve with Nords or any electronic keyboard. I wouldn't specify any particular board if you don't have familiarity with it.
With my 5D I don't like the Vox continental sound, but I love the Farfisa. The vox just doesn't cut through.

Thanks everybody for the valuable info. It looks like I need the Stage to get the splits however it looks like the sample editor for the stage 3 is not available yet, which would mean I cant import a sample.
I would hope to have the keyboard for a day or two before gigging to set up sounds and get familiar with it.
I heard some Vox stuff on You Tube which sounded decent, I'll investigate further.
I'm going to download the existing sample editor to gain some familiarity.

The current process is that you use the existing (.nsmp2) sample editor and then use the converter to convert from .nsmp2 to .nsmp3 format, so you can easily use a NS3. Not sure, however, how easy it is to rent one of those as they are likely still in high demand from production; maybe it is easier to rent a NS2EX.
