NS3 Song List making changes

Need help editing; ie changing Song list. Again come from a Kronos background where it's easy to create; modify and change or add new band set lists.

In the NORD I have created custom programs for specific songs that I play in a cover band. I have named these programs by the song name and used the song list to put them in order of the set list to be played. Now our set list is changing..

So ......what is the easies way to create the new set list in song list mode. are there alternative methods. On the Kronos, it's simple a merely using an existing saved set list and move the combi patches to the proper sequence order of the songs to be played. or just create a new set list.

Wha0t about the NS3

I have successfully put these NS3 song Programs (specific programs that are named as songs) and saved them into bank G. With that reference, I have created the band set list and song programs into the song list mode. Worked perfectly.

Now however, I want to change the sequential order of the song programs in song list mode. Can I merely just cut and move these to a different named song list position....

Do I use the NS3 Sound manager to do it with connectivity of my NORD TO my MAC???

Any advice or counsel is greatly appreciated

Best
Knuckles

PS. Learning curve on NS3 is steep but I am getting there. Very User friendly for live performance if programs used are set up correctly in sequential order .

Are there two alternatives? The first being to jus

The easiest way is to connect your NS3 to your computer and use Nord Sound Manager (turn Organize and Dual View on) to copy the Songs to a new location in the order you want. When you are moving the Songs, make sure you hold down the Ctrl key to get the plus sign that shows you are making a copy of the Song.

If you just want to rearrange Songs, you can do it through the front panel of the NS3 in List Mode.

Both of these processes also work for Programs, Samples, and Synth Presets

Are you sure it’s “control”? “Option” (alt) - Drag has been the standard for duplication on the Mac for decades.

Good point. I should have specified that I was referring to Windows!

thanks to all for this.

I figured it was more productive to use the Nord Sound Manager. While waiting for your very helpful responses, I took a leap of faith and figured it out myself through the Nord Sound Manager.
It still is a bit more tedious than the Kronos which can be done on the fly without having to connect to the computer application.

But I still love my NORD> Given that the songs in our set list change all the time, there will be alot more connectivity to my MAC and the NSM
thanks again.

You need to rethink your workflow on the Nord. I use Setlists on the Kronos, but I can't on the Nord. What I do, however, is use ForeScore with my iPad Pro to send midi messages to select the correct program on the NOrd when my song is selected. I don't need to memorize program locations on either keyboard. The iPad does all the work.

Hi Knuckles. Congrats on your new NS3.
You don’t need a computer to re-arrange the Song List order.
As I understand it, you have created all your Songs but want an easy way to change the order from gig to gig when your set list changes.
Well, it’s easy to move Songs around on the fly directly from the Nord, no computer required. View the songs in List View and use the Organize function.
It’s explained on Page 30 in the manual. Hope this helps.

I actually use Bandhelper/SetListMaker with an iPad to change Programs, but I also have crated a Song set up for every Program as well, listed in alphabetical order just in case the iPad fails.

There is a Nord Support tutorial video for this for the Electro 5 series, which is similar.
