Nord User Forum

Hi all,

this forum is now two and a half years old and from time to time some little redesign is great in particular, I thought of starging a little contest for designing a new, full-image header graphic to replace the current very basic one. And since I've seen several gifted photoshoppers around already, there might be someone interested in participating.

So here are the rules for the contest and those interested in participating:
1) The graphic should be of the format 728x90 Pixel (max. width could be 810px)
2) Needs to work with the unicolor (or gradient) menu bar
3) Color scheme could be adapted (header background, menu bar, but also for the rest of the site)... suggestions welcome!
4) The word "Nord User Forum" OR "norduserforum.com" needs to appear on the graphic.
5) It needs to blend with a either unicolour or gradient (like it is now, 90x1px, see attached file) background in any colour in order to allow for the rounded corners and flexible width of the header bar
6) It needs to be in gif/jpeg/png format. Animated GIF is possible but in this case a static version needs also be available (for the content pages).

Basically, some crazy Synth Stuff would be fun, obviously related to the Nord brand but must not be completely Nordish.
I will see what I can throw in as a goodie for the winner. If there are several suggestions I will start a poll to vote for the winner.

@chEvere: Thanks for your ideas, maybe a slight colour scheme change adding some blueish colours might well accompany #2, even though it is very strong in its colours, but thanks for the input. will see where to go!

I would welcome a not-very-tall banner. It is too big for small devices with small screens.

Good idea, just one request: don't make it too CPU invasive - some sites take ages to load all the gimmicks which completely spoils the user experience.

Oh yes!

I just removed the banner from showing on devices with a small resolution, should work best on mobile devices, or you can always use tapatalk.
