This 'unofficial' Forum is dedicated to the Clavia Nord Keyboards, including the Nord Stage, Nord Electro and Nord Piano. Discuss any issues around Nord's keyboards, share your favorite patches, samples, and music. We are not affiliated with Clavia!
I KNOW! It is still september!
BUT!!
If Clavia is going to show something new in NAMM 2012, I guess they are doing or will do something about it very soon!
SO!
Clavia has pianos, organs, synths, samples, together or separate. If you would give a idea about something missing in the Clavia products, what would it be? (sequencer, controller,...?) Or, If you think something should be different on their products, some "physical" upgrade, what is it?
Maybe, we nord users, can contribute to get something we will use if they make it.

Why do you guys always say ipad/iphone app? I have a android phone; why wouldbn't they develop also apps to that too..? Shouldn't be impossible. Yes, yes, I know that Apple is leading market in music making apps, but I really wait for android to have midi mobilizer or something.
What I'd like to do with my smartphone is to play midifiles (which is of course missing in clavia's products. Hint?). For a gigging musician it would be very helpful to make your rig play by itself and then go to audience perspective to listen how it sounds in that particular space. In fact this is nearly only thing I miss with my Roland; it was capable to play standard midifiles from usb-stick. Every gig we put this "sound check" file to play and then I went to listen how the whole group (my rig included) sounded to audience...

@JacksonP: My feelings exactly!! It is a bit difficult to do the soundcheck and get an idea of the sound in the audience with the Nords. A MIDI FIle player/simple sequencer would be great. Or at least a solution such as using a smartphone as such. I used small battery powered) sequencers once for that (QY-70 and MPC-500), but finally sold them as just for the soundchek its not worth the hassle. A very basic sequencer would already be great, even without display, just one or two tracks, simple play and record.

Johannes, nice idea to ask those great folk at Nord to take on-board some potential new model/revision ideas to come from its users. To be fair Nord seem to listen more than any other keyboard company to the wishes of its customers and this is partly why we buy their products.
I shall be purchasing my Stage 2 in the next few weeks from Digital Village Cambridge but have been keeping an eye on this forum for many months (which helped convince me to buy a Stage 2 HA88 compared to a Kronos). A big thank you to you for organising such a great forum.
The Stage 2 is pretty much what I asked of Nord when I emailed them about 12-15 months ago so, from my perspective, they have already delivered my wish for the product I currently need.
However, if we are to think of potential future models I would really love to see the launch of the Nord Wave 2 with numerous velocity layering functions, arpergiator, high number of operator FM synthesis (ala DX 7)........ I thought back in Feb that the Nord Wave 2 was about to be launched but it was the Electro 73 HP. The Wave 2 could be Nords defining keyboard of the next 10 years and would be great to put on top of my Stage 2.
It would also be really great if Nord could enable user creation of piano samples on Stage 2 so that users could create 4 velocity layered samples (something which many other synths already have and have had for some time). We could then not only create great pianos but also wild layered multi-velocity synths/samples.
+1 on the Android operating system for phone app.
