DPP1 (part 1) wannabe ... (the summer project)

Hej!
I just bidded at an auction and won. What I think is a Clavia DPP1.
So, when the parcel arrives I will know.
Meanwhile ... can anyone tell me some urban legends about this first (?) commercial product launched by Mr Nordelius et al?
It does not come with a power supply, but I think I've seen a statement about 20V DC. So I can fix that.
Also, there is not any sound cartridge included, but I'm hoping for an internal sound at least.
So exciting ... I'll tell you more over the coming weeks ...

Hej!
The DPP1 arrived today.
Inserted two 9V batteries ... it kind of started and the LED lit up ... but no sound is triggered ...

I wonder if it doesn't need a ROM cartridge in the slot at the back to make any sound.

Yes, just as Ricard points out the DPP1 need sound data to read on a cartridge otherwise it will not sound.

Are those chips easy to find?

OK - I received a snare cartridge today, courtesy of
Belsedub@99musik.se
But the sound level turned out very very low. Something is needed beyond my old multimeter, soldering iron and outdated brain.
I will contact Ricard (1h from where I live), and send the unit to him.
Perhaps it is the piezo sensor under the pad that needs replacing? Ricard and Kroffe will know ...
The heads of the screws closing the box were so damaged I had to drill them out.

Lots of stuff inside. 1983?

If the output is low I would guess something has happened to the output stage, but of course it's never what you think it is. I wonder if it's possible to find the schematics for this thing.

Perhaps Kroffe knows where to aim that question?

Hej!
Got a message from Ricard today: "
It is OK again! Just replaced a 4069UB."
I hope he will add some useful hints below in this post.
Anyhow -
Ricard is the best! Thanks a lot, old pal!
And I really hope he will put his band back together soon and that I can join too.
As soon as I get the unit back to my studio I will post pictures and audio samples.
