Rack discontinuation?

Hello !

I would love to buy a rack module but, I can't see any product on Nord's website. Did they discontinue the production?

I don't have enough space for a keyboard...

Thanks!

I don't think so, even if Nord website doesn't show them as distinct products, if you check the images section of Nord Lead 4 and Nord Lead A1 you see that the NL4r and A1r are still there.

Also in the specs you read

49-key octave velocity sensitive keyboard (keyboard version only)

so the "rack version" exists (and of course has no keyboard) ;)

Yes they did discontinue the production.

Why? Did they write a statement?

Strange decision as not everybody want the keyboard.

The sales are not good enough. This is the only possible reason.

Music retail store in the U.S. don't have the Rack version listed.

I purchased all of my Nord Leads in Rack/Desktop versions.

I have the NL4-R, NL A1-R, and NL 2X-R. I'm glad I got them in Rack format, and don't know why they would discontinue such a useful format, that saves space, easy to move around, light-weight, and very well built. If sales are the reason, then I for one helped a bit, but maybe not enough sales. oh..well.

Sweetwater still has some A1Rs in stock: https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/NordLeadA1R . I guess when they're gone, they're gone.

I bought mine after they were discontinued. Hard to find...but they're around here and there.

Quote, if they did that they should have made an announcement (and also update the web site, moving them to Legacy...), no good Nord....

I agree.

I also hope that their next Nord Lead model/s will have a Rack version.
