Hi! i'm a bit of a midi-n00b, so I've got a question.
I've set up my Wave to recieve midi from the stage, and the stage only to send midi. This works well when I use the extern section, but I would like to send sustain and control-pedal messages to the wave, even when it is not selected in the extern section (some things are easier to play on an un-weighted keyboard).
How do I do this? (and yes: I've read the manual, but I must have missed it).
Thanks!

Re: Using Nord Wave with Nord Stage
Hi,
me too finds the MIDIing up sometimes confusing when it comes to Sustain/PB. SO have been playing around for quite some time.
But I am not sure if I understand your problem, so the Wave has unweighted keys (actually almost non-weighted at all) so why you want to play it on the Stage?
In any case, the External Section is good when you want e.g. use splits or controllers etc.
But if you just want ALL midi messages on one Panel transmitted, it is not necessary. IMHO, just select in the MIDI menu of the Stage a Midi channel for each Panel (MIDI Panel A/B) and make the Wave to listen to MIDI transmitted on the given channel. (Standard: 1&2).
Now then everything is transmitted: Keys, all Controllers, Sustain etc. Maybe you have just a rond MIDI channel setup on the Wave??
Bonne chance!

Re: Using Nord Wave with Nord Stage
I'll try, thanks. Think I messed up the MIDI-settings a bit, because the stage was playing the wave even when the extern section was off, initially. Think I may have turned off something.
Why I want to use the wave for some parts? Because some instruments are not meant to be played on a weighted keyboard.
