Saving Piano as Program

I'm saving some of the default pianos (Piano Bank - slots 2-5) in Bank 6 as programs. I'm doing this by saving programs that use those piano samples into Bank 6.

Now (in Bank 6) I need to dial out the other layers that were in those programs. Example: In Bright Grand, there's a Marimba (which I need to dial out).

I've tried turning the part mix dial so that only the piano is heard and then pressed Store. The Marimba layer is still there.

Can anyone help point me in the right direction?

simply turn off marimba part entirely via on/off switch
