Hello

How many waveforms do you have on you NS2 synth section please ?

Has someone got or done a list of them ?

Thanks.

I found this in the manual:

For analog waveforms:
1.) Triangle - Fixed, Shapeable, 2 Oscillator Detunable, Synched
2.) Sawtooth - Fixed, Shapeable, 2 Oscillator Detunable, Synched
3.) Pulse - Fixed, Shapeable, 2 Oscillator Detunable, Synched

For FM:
37 algorithms, depending on whether 1, 2 or 3 oscillators are used, with or without feedback.

Wavetable:
62 digital waveforms. The manual doesn't list all of them.

Samples:
Up to 999 samples, dependant on usage of the 380Mb or so of sample memory.

For analog waveforms:
...
4.) Sinus - via FM

Oops! Forgot about that one...
Good catch.

This is the Sine Wave description, from FM section of the manual:

"The one-operator algorithm can be used to produce a perfect
sine-wave, if the Shape knob is set to zero."

It's interesting that Clavia didn't list them in the NS2 manual, I wonder if they're somehow subject to change in future OS updates?
Also, my NSEx has 77 digital waveforms.
While they're named in the instrument, they're not named in the NSEx manual.

Thank you all for the answers.
Exactly the point Hanon ...

My NS2 manual says "77 waveforms" on page 7
then "62 waveforms" on page 32
and does not list them.

I turned my knob and stoped at 62 !
I think it could be usefull to have a list or some kind of "logical" that explains how they are sorted, to go faster/easier when we have some sound in mind that we intent to do.

I'll try to add some comments for "reso-1" to "reso-20" , like sounds "empty", "woodblock", "farf", "slopy ??"
Not easy ...
If we could have the drawings of the waveforms ? 8-)

Thanks frantzkb!
This is yet another fine example of what makes this such a great forum to be part of.
