Hello,

Does anyone have a patch for the Nord Stage XS of the characteristic sound of the black eyed peas - I've got a feeling.

Thanks.

Ton

Let's search how to do that ...

I would try the FM something like DX7 piano the first one played here (not too "belly")
- lower the medium freq to make it sound "empty"
- increase higher frequencies
- amp : 0 attack, decay that decrease volume a little, a bit of release
- try some harsh/distorsion with the "drive"
- add reverb

Maybe it is far from that ! :D  I do not have my NS to try. Can you ?

Hey Ton,

I got your PM. I think for the forum it would be better if I post the nspg here, so others can also find it if they need it. I've downloaded some pretty nice patches here, and I'd love to make a contribution.

I'm not sure if I have time today to get everything set up to export the patch and maybe also make an mp3, otherwise it'll be somewhere in the next week.

Ok I got it. Please be gentle, I'm kinda new to making sounds. Also, excuse my timing, I was playing it while sitting on my knees, and with my head in a strange angle, because the headphone wire is too short.

For this sound I use 2 pianos. Electric Grand 1 is on position 1 in Electric Grand and Grand Imperial is on position 1 in A.Grand. These two layers are quite soft, so I think any piano you already have there will be ok.

Highly usable sounds Man!

I might post a modified patch with morph and might even add a string patch to go along.
