So im looking into buying a pair of headphones for my nord piano 2, since I feel im not getting 100% of the piano samples out of my krk rokit6 3rd gen.
I know some headphones brands but I have no idea what goes well with nord samples. What would you guys recommend?! thanks!
edit: any thoughts on the sennheiser HD598?

I'm listening to music a lot using headphones - alos playing my NS2EX - I wear them for creating sounds. I love the Beyerdynamic DT990 Pro. Not too expensive, comfortable to wear, great sound and 'half open'. I personally hate wearing closed headphones as they produce a strange feeling in my ears...
Good luck,
Eumel

Shure SRH840. I'm very happy with them because they give me a natural sound over the whole spectra. Every piano type on my NS2EX sounds excellent.
Regards Stefan.

You may first like to consider whether they should be open or closed.
If you go with the open type (like the HD598) you will be able to hear clicking noises from the piano2 keybed.

I'd rather die than put anything else than my AKG 271 over my ears. Everything else is just
heresy.
Seriously AKG 271s have a very good reputation among recording engineers and they're still within the affordable range - taking in accounts that you are considering a Nord piano 2 "affordable".

Sennheiser HD575's. They sound great but they're a little on the bulky side for my taste. On the third hand, they're very comfy. I seem to collect headphones. Thinking about trying some Grado's next. Which all remind me that I have some Martin Logans I should at least plug-in sometime.

I have the Sennheiser HD598 and they are fantastic. They're open so have that in mind.

I'm also using the DT990, nice warm clear sound. Sennheiser are also good.
