So I finally purchased myself a Nord Piano 2 HA88 (got a great deal off a music store as the 3 is on it's way). It sounds wonderful, but is still running OS 1.14 and want to update it to the most current version. When I connect the keyboard to my macbook pro and launch the updater it keeps telling me to connect my piano (it already is). I unplug / replug etc, restart both laptop and piano but it will not recognise it. If I then launch logic or mainstage it will recognise it instantly as a midi controller. Am I doing something wrong? In the Nord instructions it says to use a shorter or different cable (tried this too).

Any ideas?

I had a similar problem a while back. My problem was I had a USB hub between the computer and piano....once I removed that and plugged direct, all was fine.
