Nord Christmas Gift ?

I think I may have posted this a while back, but here is an updated list of the piano and sample libraries with release dates. From 2012-2018 (with the exception of 2014 which had an early December release) there was a late December release (from the 18th to the 22nd) which I'm assuming set the expectation for the "Christmas Gift." In June 2019 we received the White Grand, Marimba, and Vibraphone. In mid-January of 2020, 2021, and 2022 we received the Symphobia Strings sample collection, the Swing! sample collection, and the Felt Upright respectively. Even if we don't get something by end of year, there is still the possibility of January.

The best scenario for me will be a stage 4 with kawai keybed from grand and a new grand piano sample with xl at 400-500mb

Sorry but what's ever the point of even wishing a piano sample targering a specific size as opposed to a piano that you actually like?

It will be good if they start improving the sample my friend… for example the white grand is the biggest sample in size.. now they might improve it and next sample could be bigger than the white grand…

Anyway lets wait and see.. time coming soon

Grand Lady D in proper XL remastered/remic’d would be a nice gift indeed! It’s hard to imagine what Nord could give us as there is so much diversity in pianos and sounds.

I concur. Nord shouldn't be wracking their brains finding new pianos to samples; rather, they should resample the oldest ones, such as the Model D and the Yamaha C7.

The Yamaha C7 Studio Grand 2 is a wonderful sample as is, but would be absolutely incredible remastered and released in XL size.

An excellent showcase of the Studio Grand 2 C7. Simon is a wonderful player as well.

personally, i’d love to see some piano samples recorded in a completely dry room. i don’t want the sound of a mic’d piano in a room, i want the sound of just the piano with non of the acoustic properties of the space it is in.
