No idea if that is any help at all, other than to point out it is not such a weird concept. I had such an SV-1 for a long while, and enjoyed the mojo of the reverse keys. Show biz! The E pianos were pretty good, the acoustic passable, but no drawbars!
Finally, you could use a reverse key SV-1 as a midi driver for the Nord.
Not sure if you were replying to me there or the OP, but either way. Yes the SV1 is a fab looking keyboard, I just wish they'd update it. Maybe a version with literally just a modelled Rhodes, and Wurli - but I'm getting off topic here!

I may be taking this too far here, but I made a lift-off 'lid'. This is just for using at home when I want to play piano/ e piano with no distractions. Looks kind of cool too!

Sweet! Looks very clean and stylish, and must have been very quick and easy to build!
It's true that sometimes all the lights, LEDs and displays can be distracting, if you only have to play piano it's nice to have a "naked" interface with only the keys

And you can put some stuff on it when you are composing, you can write scores/notes on a flat surface, really nice....

Did you ever get anywhere with reversing the key colours? I emailed Fatar but no reply. Replacing just the key coverings would be easy. Your warranty will have expired by now?

IIRC, Fatar won't reply unless you're a professional. Try to visit the Doepfer website to see if they offer this, or write them to ask whether it's possible.

I was inspired by this thread and finally got round over summer 2019 to customise my NE5HP.
I used spray-painting - worked well for the end cheeks (after sanding down).
However, I'm not very happy with the metal top. Despite numerous coats, I've ended up with a surface that's not uniform and in fact very easy to scratch. At some point I might start again and go down the vinyl route which seems to have worked better.....
