So back to topic: What‘s your experiences with the new sample after a few weeks? Did you already use it live on stage or in the studio and how did you tweak it?

It's okay just another choice at this point. It's like Nefertiti but little more low midrange. I roll some of the bottom off sometimes I will use the bright timbre. It's like cooking you have your favorite spices, but how much you use varies from day to day.

Interesting! To my ears, it’s the Nefertiti that has much more low midrange. Usually i cut the low mids (about 400/500 Hz) when i use the Nefertiti, because it sounds murky to me without tweaking. The Stockholm tends to sound agressive and harsh, if i boost the treble or the upper mids at higher velocity, but without treble boost it sounds a little bit tamed…

I find the "EP9 Stockholm" very close to the "EP5 BrightTines". But very useful!
—Tomorrow is my 1st gig with my new NP5 (88).

I should of noted that I'm using a Stage 3, because the Stage 4 the Stockholm sound brighter and as you put it more aggressive. I think I like the sound of the Stockholm better on the Stage 3 than on the Stage 4. In fact since the Stage 4 came out I've been spending time listening to the Nord library AP and EP and how the sound has changed over the years. To my ear they all sound bottom heavy to me and as the years went by sounds became more and more brighter, closer mic'd which to me brings up overtones too much.

Good luck for your gig - would be nice, if you tell us your Stockholm-experience and your settings afterwards. ;)

Thanks Daniel!

Well, I tried little tweaks this morning but shall see how it sounds tonight, since it's a jazz gig, I only set my Live presets 1,2,3,4,5 as follows: White Grand, Pearl Upright, Rhodes (EP4+EP9), Jazz Organ (forgot the two samples name...), Bright Ballad EPs (EP9+DX FullTines).

I will later share my NP5 live setup.

So strange, how the EP9 sounds brighter on NS4 but better on NS3, I don't have access to a NS3 here, but frankly, the EP9 on my NP5 sounds really warm and so clean. Have you tried with different speakers/headphones?
